Liptov selection of alternatives typical for a leisure destination. There are several hotels in towns and most popular ski and spa locations, most of them around two and three star level.
Smaller cottages are located all around Liptov and there is a lot beds in private houses provided by landlords. The quality of this accommodation alternatives is usually at hostel level, with both shared or ensuite bathrooms.
Most prestigous hotels are located within the Demanovska valley, where the most popular ski slopes are situated.
Liptov is popular destination in summer and winter, therefore it is not allways easy to find a room from December till March and then during July and August. The weekends are more favorite then midweek days.
Starting from Christmas and definitivelly during New Years Eve period untill mid March you will be charged higher rates then during rest of the year, as this is the mean winter sports season.
