To Liptov by Air
There is no international airport within short distance to Liptov, the closest international airports are Krakow, Poland and Bratislava, both are within 2.5 hours travel time by car. Minor airports are in Poprad and Zilina as well, both just less then 1 hour by car.

To Liptov by Car
To arrive to Liptov from south you need to cross Low Tatra either through Donovaly or Certovica mountain pass. From west there is the main road from Zilina and Martin.
When driving from Poland in north you should drive through the Orava region.
When driving from east, you should pass city of Poprad and after you kilometers there is very convenient highway crossing the whole Liptov are from east to west.
To Liptov by Train
Liptov is on main railway crossing Slovakia from west to east (from Bratislava to Kosice), therefore the connection to cities like Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Hamburg, Budapest, Bucharest, Moscow, Warsaw, Krakow, Kiev, Lviv, Vilnius and St. Petersburg is very easy either through Bratislava, Zilina or Kosice.
